Marie Baker was a female gangster who robbed a number of stores. She was especially known, and even earned herself a nickname for, her bizarre requests when she robbed store clerks. She would go into a store, force all customers to leave, and would then force the clerks to give her their pants. One day, she was robbing a butcher at a butcher shop, when she decided to check her makeup for a moment. The clerk escaped and immediately gathered the police. Marie Baker was caught and later revealed to be Rose Durante. She served three years in prison and then mysteriously disappeared.
